Connected objects: watches connected to Android smartphones

Thursday 12 April 2012

The Wimm Labs Company has developed a wristwatch that runs on Android. Connected to the wearer's smartphone, it brings phone calls or incoming text messages to his or her notice and can be used to manage a diary and synchronize it with a calendar. It also features a GPS, a compass and an accelerometer.
I'mWatch has designed watches that link up to smartphones running on Android, iOS, Windows Phone 7, Symbian and Blackberry. They can be used to take calls, and also to listen to music or access various sources of information (stock markets, weather forecasts, social networks) without having to use the telephone directly (cf. video).
